Home › 3-Bedroom, 3-Bath Vacation Rental in Fort Lauderdale
A privately owned Florida vacation home and short-term rental (STR) with a year-round heated saltwater pool — booked directly with the owner, without Airbnb or VRBO traveler service fees.
Most Fort Lauderdale short-term rentals that sleep eight are either condos with shared amenities or larger homes priced for groups. Jonathan's House sits between the two: a single-storey, three-bedroom, three-bathroom house in the Middle River area with its own fenced yard and its own pool, rented to one party at a time by the person who owns it.
That last detail is the practical difference. There is no property manager between you and the house, no call centre, and no platform deciding what you may ask. The same person who answers your message before the trip is the one who looks after the house.
Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, eight guests. The king master suite has an en-suite spa bath with a jetted soaking tub, a rain shower and dual shower heads, and opens directly onto the pool deck. A queen bedroom and a twin bedroom with two real twin beds — not a bunk or a daybed — make up the rest, with a queen sofa bed in the living area for a ninth sleeper if a family needs it.
The kitchen is built around a commercial Viking gas range, which matters more than it sounds for a group of eight cooking one meal together. Outside there is a gas BBQ grill and outdoor dining in a fully fenced backyard.
The saltwater pool is heated year-round, including December, January and February, when most South Florida rentals quietly switch the heat off. It has a zero-entry slope rather than a step ladder or diving board, and a waterfall feature. The yard around it is enclosed by tropical landscaping, and the master bedroom opens straight onto it.
Adult supervision is always required.
Availability, rates and instant confirmation run through a live calendar on the booking section of the homepage. Because that calendar is the owner's own, there is no Airbnb or VRBO traveler service fee — typically 6 to 17% of the booking on those platforms. Returning guests receive an additional 10% off.
What you see before you pay. Live rates match Airbnb and VRBO, minus the platform fee. Taxes and the cleaning charge are all shown before payment — nothing is added afterwards.
Cancellation: cancel more than 72 hours before the 4:00 PM check-in for a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours of the 4:00 PM arrival time receive no refund.
Minimum stay is one night midweek, or two nights for Thursday, Friday and Saturday arrivals. Check-in is after 4:00 PM with keyless self check-in; checkout is by 10:00 AM.
The house is in the Middle River area of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (33304) — residential, not a resort strip. Fort Lauderdale Beach is about a mile away, an easy walk. By car it is 8-12 minutes to 8-12 minutes to Las Olas Boulevard, 20-25 minutes to Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL), and 12-18 minutes to the Port Everglades cruise terminal.
The FLL distance is worth noting if you are comparing against Miami: a 20-25 minute transfer at the start and end of a trip is a materially different day from an hour-plus one. The Port Everglades proximity makes the house workable as a pre- or post-cruise base.
Parking is free and private, on-site in the driveway, for up to two standard vehicles — no valet, no nightly parking charge.

A kitchen for bottles, a washer for the inevitable, a crib on request and a quiet street for naps.
Everyone gets their own room and bathroom, and the gentle pool entry suits every age.
One house instead of two or three hotel rooms, with shared meals and separate spaces.
The master suite has a king canopy bed, a walk-in closet and a spa bath with a rain shower and jetted tub. There's a queen room, a twin room with two beds, and a sofa bed for an extra sleeper. Three full bathrooms mean no morning line, and one opens straight onto the pool patio.

A chef's kitchen with a Viking gas range, cookware, utensils and spices, a Keurig, a blender and a separate coffee and breakfast station, plus an extra fridge. A table for the whole group, and a breakfast bar for the overflow.
A washer and dryer on site means you can pack light and rewear the favorite swimsuit. Toiletries, coffee pods, bottled water, linens and towels are supplied.
Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, coolers and snorkel gear are already at the house. Fort Lauderdale Beach is about a mile away — an easy walk.

The house sits in a quiet residential neighborhood near Las Olas, with free private parking and keyless self check-in, which is handy when you arrive with sleeping kids.
