House Rules

Thank you so much for choosing Jonathan's House for your Fort Lauderdale Vacation.

We know you had many options to choose from, and we are honored that you chose our home to share with your family and friends.

We have gone above and beyond to make sure that you have everything needed to make your stay memorable, enjoyable and of course hassle free.

Just like your home, there are a few things to know and will need to be cared for during your stay.

We encourage you take a few moments to review this page and familiarize yourself with everything you need to know to make the most of your time with us.

We only ask that you care for our home as if it were your own.

Security Deposit(s)

Because you are booking directly, Jonathan's House is not protected under Aibnb or VRBO insurance, therefore we require a fully refundable security deposit to be returned once house has been cleaned and inspected.

  • $350.00

POOL RULES

  • NO DIVING.
  • $100.00 one-time Heated pool fee for the 1st 7 days. $50.00 per week thereafter.
  • Please skim the pool whenever needed or at least daily. You will find the skimmer on the wall behind the waterfall.
  • You will be sent a video of how to activate the pool's waterfall feature. Do not touch any valves, buttons or hoses with the exception of the waterfall valve.
  • The pool is maintained, tested and deep cleaned weekly. The pool company has access to the backyard only.

GARBAGE

  • Garbage removal is every Monday & Thursday.
  • It's very important that this is taken care of. We don't want unwanted rodents and critters hanging around the house.
  • Bins should be taken to the curb on Sunday & Wednesday evenings to ensure garbage removal is complete. (simply follow what our neighors do)
  • There are 2 separate pickups on garbage days. Typically, all garbage is picked up by 5pm.
  • Bins must be taken back to the house after pickup.

BBQ Grill

  • After every use, please turn the propane tank OFF.
  • When finished using the BBQ Grill, please clean the grates from food debris.
  • Please cover the BBQ Grill at all times when not in use, particularly when raining.

PETS

  • 2 pet maximum
  • $125 for first pet.
  • $85 for second pet.

Clean up the grass and back patio area after your pets. Remember, children play on the grass. A landscaper comes by weekly to maintain the property. Be considerate for everyone's health and safety.

Parking

  • No parking on the street. The city of Fort Lauderdale is very strict with this, and you may receive a summons.
  • Absolutely no parking on the property grass.
  • There is room for 4 vehicles in the driveway.
  • You can find extra parking at the Publix supermarket a few blocks away.

Cameras & Security

There are NO cameras inside the home or in the backyard / pool area. However, there is a camera on the front door and the sides of the house. This is strictly for security purposes and recommended by the Fort Lauderdale Police to protect the property and our guests from unwanted intruders and damages. Under no circumstances are these cameras to be touched or covered in any way.

Electronics

TVs on this property are smart so you'll be able to log into your favorite streaming apps including those for broadcast TV. There is no cable TV. If you want to watch a game or any live channel, you’ll need to watch it on your own device. If you have an Apple device (iPhone iPad) you’ll be able to stream to the TV. You'll be able to log into any streaming app for which you have an account. We don’t provide streaming app accounts.

Smoking

Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside the property, including vaping or medicinal marihuana. You're welcome to smoke outside. Please throw away your smoking debris. Do not toss on the floor.

Mail

Guests may NOT receive mail at this location. Any mail received will be RETURNED TO SENDER. We cannot accept responsibility for helping you to recover any lost mail or packages.

Late Checkout

Please note that check-out time is promptly at 10am. This is so that our housekeeping staff may prepare the property for the next guest. If you need additional time, contact us immediately and we'll try to accommodate you, though this cannot be guaranteed.

Outages

Jonathan’s House is not responsible for outages by Internet and Cable or Electricity companies. While we regret the interruption and inconvenience, we have no control over internet, cable ore electric issues.

The same way these providers do not reimburse us for their equipment failures or outages, we cannot accept accountability or offer refunds or reimbursements to guests.
