Fort Lauderdale Airport, the Brightline Rail to Miami and Port Everglades

Fifteen minutes from the gate to the front door, and Miami without touching I-95.

The quiet advantage of staying in Fort Lauderdale is how easily you reach the rest of South Florida. From this house you are minutes from Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL), Port Everglades, and the Brightline Rail line that connects Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

1. Land at FLL and be unpacked in fifteen minutes

Nobody wants the first two hours of a holiday to be highway traffic. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is about a fifteen-minute ride away, and if you pick up a car there, the private driveway means you are not circling for a space or paying a garage.

2. Take the Brightline to Miami instead of driving

Going down for a Heat game, an Inter Miami match, Wynwood, Brickell or South Beach? Driving means I-95 and then Miami parking.

The Brightline Fort Lauderdale station downtown, near Las Olas, is under ten minutes from the house. The Brightline Rail gets you into downtown Miami in around thirty minutes with a seat, wi-fi and a drinks service. Day trip to Miami, sleep in a three-bedroom house near Fort Lauderdale Beach.

3. The pre-cruise stay for Port Everglades

Sailing out of Port Everglades? Instead of splitting the family across airport hotel rooms the night before, fly into FLL a couple of days early. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full-size washer and dryer, and time to actually see Fort Lauderdale Beach, Las Olas and the Elbo Room before a fifteen-minute ride to the terminal.
