Every autumn the Fort Lauderdale Yacht Show — properly the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) — turns the city into the centre of the marine industry, with superyachts, sportfishers and tenders spread across Bahia Mar, Las Olas Marina and the Broward County Convention Center.
Beachfront rooms sell out months ahead of show week and the ones left are not a bargain.
